Motivational Monday: The Medicine Cabinet Revisted

Back on March 27 I had a challenge for you to clean out your medicine cabinet. A month has now passed and it is time to reflect on what you still have left that you can still get rid of. I am reminded to look at our intentions. Still in my medicine cabinet is an antibiotic my husband never took.....from last year. I have painkillers that I never finished from when I had surgery.....three years ago.

Take time to reflect on why we hold onto those things. Do I think "when my husband gets sick again I will have the antibiotics at the ready”. Do I think "when I am in serious pain after surgery I will have the pain killers at the ready". This really is freighting when you think about it. I don’t want my husband to get sick, I don’t want to be in serious pain.

So in the proverbial garbage go those pills. Make sure that you do not flush them down the toilet. You can also check with your pharmacy to see if they have a method of disposing of unused medications.

What are you holding on to?

Please remember that thoughts become things, choose the good thoughts!

I have been doing the same things. Cleaning out the medicine cabinet. Getting rid of the old medicines. Cleaning out the pantry. Cleaning out my office/craft/sewing room. I try to look at where I am in my life, my "new" age since I last cleaned out, and make the decisions to let go of things I'm "just not into" anymore.
